The American Trial Lawyer Magazine called Don Siegelman “America's #1 Political Prisoner."

In Jack Abramoff’s book, Capitol Punishment: The Hard Truth About Washington Corruption From America's Most Notorious Lobbyist, he admits
that one of his top priorities was “stopping Don Siegelman.”

Don Siegelman said in 2007 at his first sentencing; “ If this ruling stands....a rogue Justice Department can prosecute contributors and elected officials they
    simply do not like."

Please petition the President of the United States for clemency in Governor Siegelman's case by signing the petition on
Change.org and posting this message publicly however you can. By doing so we may one day clarify the law and keep our democracy and freedom intact.

Our goal is to have 50,000 signatures by Nov. 6 , election day. But every day that we do not get a decision we will continue to add signatures. Please sign and get

A LETTER FROM DON

My Dear Friend,

Once again, I call on you to help me fight for justice, not for me, but for our
criminal justice system.

I thank you for helping with my personal fight to expose the truth about
how Karl Rove used the Department of Justice as a political weapon, and to
finally hold him accountable. Now I am seeking to make an important
systemic change to help ensure fairness and reduce government
misconduct.

The one person at the White House who can get people moving to repair
our criminal justice system is
Valerie Jarrett, the President's personal
friend, and  "Senior Advisor". She gets things done for the President and
consistently pops up as THE person who always has the President's back,
and the President's ear.

I am asking that
you send a post card to Ms. Jarrett, asking that she
encourage the President and Attorney General Holder to implement a
change in the criminal justice system which will have a dramatic effect in
ensuring fairness, balancing the scales of justice.

It's about a proposal President Obama made when he was in the Senate.

In today's criminal justice system, citizens can be framed and there
nothing that can be done about it. On January 5th, 2010 David Savage legal
correspondent for the Los Angeles Times reported, "Yesterday President
Obama's lawyers argued to the U.S. Supreme Court that U.S. Citizens 'do
not have a constitutional right, not to be framed.'"

President Obama, when he was a young senator, proposed that the
government be required to record all interviews with targets or witnesses,
and turn those recordings over to the defense. Such would greatly diminish
the governments ability to "persuade" a witness to "cooperate" by
threatening to arrest their family if they don't, or promising them a sentence
reduction if they do...in other wordw, lie to convict someone the
government really wants to put away.

It show's that the President is aware of an important problem in our
criminal justice system, it will send an important message to all citizens
especially to his own political base, that the President not only understands
the problem, but also knows how to fix it.

Please put a post card in the mail to:

Senior Advisor and Assistant to the Presiden
Valerie Jarrett
1600 Pennsylvania Ave.
Washington, DC

We have a chance to change things for the better, let's take a chance to
make it happen.

All my best,
